Dress, Dress, Dresses!!

Since last Saturday, I've been going to malls and buying stuff , two of which are for the Philippine Fashion Week. And for me to celebrate my birthday and to resist the heat outside, but I was wrong I got nauseous last Saturday due to heat and people were in a hurry to buy this and that. So now, I'm totally broke again.bwaahaha. Then yesterday, I was not supposed to buy anything because I just like to eat ice cream and stroll around the mall but then I saw this cute white dress screaming to me. I love wearing dresses because when I was little my mom doesn't want me to wear those because of my thighs and my big butt. But it didn't hinder me to grow up wishing for a dress, and now i'm having a lot of them and still counting, even if my mom frowns about it ,A LOT. She makes fun of my legs T_T, sorry I got them from my dad. But i guess that's what makes me unique. As Tyra said, embrace your body(weakness) and turn it into your strength. In less than a month, school is back. Hello for a term that I don't have any major subjects because I'm shifting, I decided for a single degree (BS Commerce major in Marketing Management or Business Management) but I still have to take a test to be qualified to shift, so good luck to me. I want to finish my college studies already so I can work and save up for my doctorate or another undergrad course.

So that's the dress that's been screaming to me. I love the fact that I can also use to wear from the back view. It's like a 2 in 1 dress. Can't wait to wear it.

This is one of the dresses that I'm going to wear for the Philippine Fashion Week. I've bought stuff in advance because when the Freshmen Orientation will start I don't have any time to shop because my friend told me I'll be helping them in the welcoming stuff for the political party I'm in. The dress is simple and it's backless.:) I went for simple because I'm planning to use one of my creations.(Did I mention that I make accessories?)

This headpiece really caught my eye and I like to use it for the PFW as well or for photoshoots. I like to create a headpiece like this. I think it's kind of easy to make one.Let's see.

Shoes, not really that glam but I like nude sandals. It makes my legs look thinner and it makes me look tall too.:)

Tomorrow, will be going on a thrift shopping with my mom. It's been 6 months since I've been into a thrift shop. It's like finding for a treasure. Gawd, I'm excited. I hope t find another set of dresses and I'm thinking for looking for interesting stuff like for jackets and vests. If you guys know any good thrift shop or ukay-ukay stores please please tell me T_T

Legally Blonde is coming here in Manila in June

The movie is one of my favorite movies of all time. Elle is an empowered female ,for me. She shows to the world that women are strong and never to stop fighting for what they want and what they need. She maybe unbelievable at first because of her sassy-ness and kind of silly approach at Harvard , she proved to us that we shouldn't judge a person by her physical aesthetics. Anyhoo, I'm thrilled that Atlatis production will offer us this theatrical play and Nikki Gil is going to play as Elle. She's one of the talented Pinoy artist in the cuntry. I'm starting to save money for this and I'll treat my mom to this because one of the show dates fall under her birthday.:D

Coming Up, Philippine Fashion Week 2010 Holiday

I'm really excited about this event. Maybe because I decided to be really out there. Try something new. Aside from that,  I like to show support to our dear kababayan and appreciate their works. I really do believe in the Filipino Talent. Filipinos can compete globally ,but as we all know our Philippine Government hasn't been giving enough support to this industry. I really do believe that this industry can bring a lot of jobs to this country. But if the government will give that sufficient guidance maybe one day Philippines can be one of the fashion capitals in the world. On the brighter note, I really like to see a  collection that will blow me away or make me say 'that's Divine' and 'I can die now' . Anyhoo , the PFW will be on the last week of May. I'm afraid I can't watch all of them because my classes starts on May 31st>.<

This afternoon I've been looking for the right dresses for the event, I found 2 and bought it, but I don't love them that much. I don't know why but the two dresses I bought are really chic but there is something my mind keeps telling me to still look even though I found and bought them already. I want a dress that shouts 'look-at-me-I'm-here.' So If you know some dresses that can be it, paste the link of the picture at the comments part.

Mon Anniversaire

Tomorrow's my birthday but my family had decided to celebrate in an earlier date. That was last Wednesday at a resort here in Dasmarinas, Cavite. I'll be 19 yrs. old. Another chapter that's going to unfold by tomorrow.

So I've celebrated by birthday together with my Lola and ate Carol. My Lola's bday is on April 27, Carol's on April 29. Mine is May 1. Having a family like this makes me feel I'm loved and being taken care of by them. As what I've posted in my facebook account 'Mabuti ng single atleast May pamilyang nagamamahal sa akin'( It's better to be single if you have a family that loves me so much). They're always there if I have problems at school and supports me on whatever direction that I take. I'm blessed that I have a family like this.

That's me slicing the cake . Sorry I know I don't have that gorgeous body but I love who I am but I know being chubby is unhealthy for me because I love eating food , especially if I'm stressed.(You may kill me now, but I seriously love eating )

To be honest, I've been having the birthday blues. I've been in the dark side of my room because I'm afraid of aging. I feel like I haven't done anything big in my teen years. It's like I've let it pass by me. I haven't experienced doing this and that. or i haven't experienced to shop like there's no tomorrow because my family  belongs to the middle class. So sometimes , I feel insecure about myself and envious bout other girls. But I just think of happy stuff to let it all go away. I hope being nineteen will offer me a lot of things to the stuff I haven't experienced. It's my last year to be a teen and have fun.

Flying Shoes :D

One of the things that inspire me to wear clothes  are shoes. They are my make or break moment for an outfit. When I saw these following pictures at this post, I got excited and I want it to share it to others.  Those shoes are inspired from Mercury, the messenger of the gods. As I've read it from a fashion blog, the inspiration is called Talaria or winged sandal. Some of the shoes are really artsy or as they say it a wearable art. and I agree to that. Imagine wearing those heels, especially the first Alexander Mcqueen picture, people will be looking at you and be speechless because of your shoes. >> I want to have that kind of moment in the future :))<< But in the Alexander Mcqueen shoes, you can still see the baroque design he'd used from his last collection.  I also love the Beatrix Ong shoes :D

This pair of shoes really got the shoe addict in me. It's to die for.

This pair is really gorgeous. If you want to be artsy but not as extreme as the first one, this one is for you.

This Beatrix Ong shoes are really subtle but still pretty. I love that this can be paired of with a lot of clothes , especially corporate ones.

This Marc Jacobs shoes is pretty too. I like the gold version better than the black one, below.

This Vivinne Westwod for Melissa are really cute and humorous. It's direct to the point in a way that there's an outright part of that says I'm-going-to-fly sandals :P
