Revamp and Reinvention

If you haven't notice, my blog has a new look and feel. Finally, I've achieved what I want for my blog, thanks to Blogger Draft, it's easy to customize and make the blog me. Especially the background, before I just want a fashion illustration where the girls are walking towards the endpoint of a runway, and this is it. Speaking of revamping , it also tantamount to reinvention. I'm planning to shift to another course by  first term , I don't want to say which course it is but , this time, I'll be pursuing what I really want from the start. It's going to be  stepping stone for my dreams, one of which is becoming a part of the industry that i dream to be in , the Fashion industry.

I've been using the fashion industry as part of my business report stuff at school , on how they operate , the in's and out's of it. The strategies being used. But then I realized , one time that I want more than this then some incident happened that made me go back to this industry . I saw this description of me by one of my classmates in my yearbook, it says there " Maui is someone who has a passion for fashion." It made me see myself that I'm not really happy at my life right because of the course I'm taking. It's been a hell for me. It's not fit for me, especially if some people are really good and it hurts my pride because I've done all my best but ,still, here I am , a mediocre worst a failure to my family.

I dont care what will people say about my decision. It's my life and i'm a designer and director of my life. And only God is my critic. With all of this , I'm planning to reinvent myself also and be a better version of Maureen. So just wait because I'm going to be reaching for my dreams.

Noriter love :D

What is Noriter?
Noriter is a Korean-themed cafe found across De La Salle University.
Why am I writing about it?

Because I love this place. It's really cozy and relaxing. You'll find art-sy stuff inside the cafe. I love their hot chocolate beverage. Whenever I want to rest or study, I just go to this place and do my business. It has a lot of memories too for me. Anyhoo, I went here , together with my groupmates, to breakout form regular library mode work and just do it there. >.<  I hope you guys will visit this place because it's a nice thing to discover new places and be inspired from it.

Here's some photos from it:

Black Saturday

Finally,I can write again. I had a writer's block since last week. Timely for the Holy Week. Anyhoo , last March 27. I had an Intramuros escapade with my friend Ashley. We were there for the Sampaguita (Jasmine) ice cream for her Literature class . Then , we thought of roaming around the walled city. We found some places that are really gorgeous and at the same time historical. I love Casa Manila. It's a restored house from the Spanish Era and The house is really for rich illustrados. The rooms are wide and has good interior design. Unfotunately , we can't take any photos from the inside. Then I also love the graffiti place . I never thought that there would be such place there. Guys, I suggest that you roam around the HIstorical city and think about our dear country.:D

Here are some photos from it.

Here's a shot from Manila Cathedral's Entrance

To to start walking. :D

We ate sampaguita ice cream and blueberry cheesecake after the walk.

Then last is the graffiti wall:D

My Interesting Finds

As I've promised, I'll be posting the looks that I like today :D
TADA!!!!
First, this is Patricia Castillo . I love the simplicity of this look. To add color, she used colored Ray Bans and a gold clutch. I love the idea of the shirt that it came from her mom's closet. I get some stuff to from my Mom :))

This is Mae-Ann, she's a friend of an acquaintance. I love how girly and refreshing her look is. It really gives me the idea of Summer. Check my blog on monday for my first summer look :D

This is Juchin. She's donning a gingham dress. It's the it dress of the season. It's really old school and I love her flats. Before , I didnt appreciate those kind of design of shoes. But now, I love them :D

I really love this look so casual and not trying hard but I like the way her top can make you look .again, at her.

Painstakingly Beautiful

Last post was about purple oxford shoes. I've worn them to the Slim Lecture series this afternoon. They're beautiful but its difficult to walk in them. Though I have to pretend to stay as sassy as I can be. The topics this afternoon were interesting. It was about the Philippine Costumes and how they've evolved through time. I love the Maria Clara silhouettes and some ternos too. I've met a lot of people too from the series that I was in . I hope i can still you guys :((. I hope we can bring back the times that Filipinos have these balls and parties:(. Anyhoo , here are the photos for the day. Sorry , i can't write that much because I'm just sad because I might not be able to see some people. :((

I'm wearing Pink Military jacket from jag , Violet tank top from Hanes, Skirt < secret> Shoes from Janeo

I love taking pics of my feet :D

This is National Artist Badong Bernal. He discussed about how western and eastern culture of dressing influenced Filipino way of dressing.

This is one of his slides about Filipinos adapting to change.

This is Mr. Panlilio . He discussed about how Illustrados socialize. And the aftermath world war 2 in the country .
