KL- Karl Lagerfeld

I love him so much, why, because he's so talented and visionary. Aside from his designs for Chanel and for his own Line, I love him as a photographer. He's so dramatic. He has a flair for the minimalist approach or grand settings. I just love him to pieces. Here's his latest works :D Enjoy

It's not a bad day after all

I just read a message from Micky of the Xing Street Fashion Project, that I can now write, review and post the looks I love from this day on. Since, I find the streetstyle photos very authentic and very Pinoy. If there's a Sartorialist and Jak&Jill for the Western side of the globe, Xing is for the Philippine Fashion Scene, I really believe the Pinoys got taste and knows how to rock every style he/she wants to embody. I'm so honored that I can do this, because from the beginning I want to write about , if not high, streetwear. Anyhoo, I plan to post 5 looks per entry, unless the look is so ferocia that I can't help but posting it alone.

Are you guys game?
Here's the first look that I love;

This is the definition of being Pinoy Chic. It's so feminine yet there's this X-factor that is really strong and beautiful. I love the sleeves of her blouse and the look is so sexy without even trying. The use of vest make her body look alluring and gives shape and contour to her body.

This is Jaro, I love that hat. The look is so playful and I can feel the beat in my head, he looks like he's about to dance and Krump it. What makes it unique and one of my faves is that the hat and the bow tie set off a statement that makes you remember him.

This is Karl, (today is his birthday) being one of the famous Pinoy bloggers in the local scene, he'll never dissapoint and will continue to surprise us. What i love about this look is how he played with accessories and layering articles of clothing. I love the way the top hangs on him. It's just fantabulous.

This is Mikhael. I love the way he played with prints. It's very dynamic and genius. The prints are like making motions and that's what I think interesting and not make me bored .He balanced the look with black (liquid?) leggings and boots to match.  I can honestly say, only a few can rock a print-on-print look because it's hard to style and some people are not welcome to that idea. Thanks to Mikhael, he showed us the right way. :P

Last but not the least is Tintin. I love her bag. I love bags with unusual shapes or a bag that you wouldn't think of as a bag. I love how she made the pink printed dress look rocker-ish and cool. I also adore her red hat, a head turner indeed.

I was not supposed to take pictures of myself ,at first, but when my mom was fitting some on clothes, I got bored and I took these :)) My mom received good news last night so she was cool to go on a little shopping trip especially, she'll be teaching SOON. I love my mom, without her I will not be here. Then i also bought some vnc sandals for school :D Anyhoo, I feel kind of skater girl today :D. I cut an old pants and made it into a shorts. Then I found my off-shoulder top from my old stuff . Then, My jacket is thrifted :D

Ribbon Bondage Booties :D

This is the sketch that made cry because I thought I'll never see it again:(( But Sir Jeff found it at Trilogy :)) Anyhoo, I was inspired from ballets and I saw them in my dreams. So, i thought of illustrating it to capture that 'shoe dream'.

I named it Marilyn because Ms. Len was the first one to see and appreciate it.:D

Death Can Be Beautiful

Jerome Salaya Ang guided us to the afterlife through his collection. Innovative and interesting is all I can say about it. It's not that cherry-poppy-ish ( meaning happy ) thing that most of the other collections showed us but it takes us to another idea of what is beautiful and mysterious at the same time. Every audience is waiting to see what's next because SERIOUSLY, it's good and makes you wanting to see more of his vision bout death.
The hair and make-up match the collection well, it's freakishly fierce :D
Here's the gowns and dresses I love :D
This is so Lady Gaga :D
I love this kind of frock, i love the movement it makes.

I love the holes and the beading to it, It adds more drama to it.

Reliving the Renaissance Period

""The Medici, one of the most affluent families in history," June Pugat says, "was my creative concept behind this collection. This is an ode particularly to the Medici women. I created a showcase of tailored and draped pieces using brocade retraced with beadwork, dyed and hand-painted jusi and silk cocoon, soft tulle, double-faced lamé and hand-painted Mikado."
(excerpt from Stylebible.ph)

And that's what caught my attention to this collection. If you guys could remember your Art Appreciation classes or History Classes, The Medici Family are the ones who patronage, collect and order painting from different exemplary painters during those times and making a bank of Art ( I forgot how my prof termed it but the thought is similar to it :D) And art during those times indicates status, the more paintings you have the noble you are.

Seeing June's collection perfectly interpreted what these Medici's are and living in those periods. Rich, luxurious and elegant .

This shows craftmanship and fantasy :D I love the hand painted effect, it's breathtaking.

This gown looks regal.

I want this coat , J :D
